Department of Uzbek Language and Literature
The department was founded in 1992 as Uzbek and Kazakh Language and Literature and was later reorganised as Uzbek Language and Literature. It works in Uzbek linguistics and literary studies.
Department of Uzbek Linguistics
The Department of Uzbek Linguistics separated in 1994 from the Uzbek and Kazakh Languages and Literature department. Over the years it has been led by A. Ergashev, T. Xo‘jayev, M. Ravshanov and O. Qayumov. It carries out research and teaching in Uzbek linguistics.
Department of English Linguistics
The Department of English Linguistics trains philologists and teachers in English language theory and linguistics.
Department of Practical English
The Department of Practical English works on the practical teaching of English and on modern language teaching methods.
Department of Russian Language and Literature
The Department of Russian Language and Literature trains philologists and teachers of Russian language and literature.
Department of Kazakh Language and Literature
The Department of Kazakh Language and Literature trains specialists in Kazakh language and literature and supports the study of Kazakh in the region.
Interfaculty Department of Foreign Languages
The Interfaculty Department of Foreign Languages teaches foreign languages to students on non-philological programmes. It is headed by Pirmanova Gavhar Nazarkulovna, PhD in Education, Associate Professor.
